Meet the team

Rachel Meadows

Managing Director

Rachel became Managing Director of IFGL Pensions in April 2023. Rachel has 16 years' pensions industry experience. She is a Chartered Financial Planner, as well as a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. Rachel’s previous roles have included delivering specialist pension consultancy and strategic advice relating to defined benefit and defined contribution pensions.

Richard Foden

Head of Customer Services Operations

Richard has worked in the Financial Services Industry for over 10 years. Whilst working for an offshore life assurance company, he held a number of roles across customer services and investment operations. Richard most recently managed the Investment Operations team within an offshore wealth platform.

Sally Howard

Finance Director

Sally trained in private practice and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2000, becoming a Fellow in 2005. Following qualification, Sally held finance roles in the photographic and telecommunications sectors, before joining IFGL Pensions (previously Sovereign Pension Services (UK) Ltd) in 2016 where she now operates as Finance Director.

Barbara Howard

Risk and Compliance Director

Barbara has over 40 years’ experience working in the financial services sector. Barbara started her career in banking and is CMap Qualified. She took a change of direction into pensions joining IFGL Pensions in 2011, when it was called MW Pensions Ltd and became a Director in 2017. Barbara is responsible for Risk and Compliance, providing a professional, secure, controlled business in a highly regulated environment.

Jill Clarke

Chief Risk Officer

Jill has over 20 years’ industry experience, having previously worked for both Barclays Bank plc and subsequently for 12 years at the FTSE-listed Capita. At Capita, Jill became Risk Director, overseeing a number of restructures and the implementation of significant changes in regulation. Jill joined IFGL Pensions in June 2024.

Steve Berridge

Technical Services Manager

Steve has over 35 years’ experience in the financial services industry, most of it at Abbey Life (TUP’D to UISL and Capita in the late 2000s), before a contracting spell, specialising in complaint handling and back book remediation. Steve joined IFGL Pensions (formerly Sovereign Pensions Services Ltd) in September 2021 as Technical Services Manager and is currently completing his Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
